Are you ready to challenge yourself, explore a rich new culture, and earn the ultimate Scouting achievement? Applications are officially opening for the Explorer Belt 2027 Expedition to Poland!

This isn’t your typical holiday. From the edge of the stunning Tatra Mountains to the historic streets of Krakow, you and your team will embark on a 10-day, 100km trek, completing unique challenges and making unforgettable memories along the way. Even better? This expedition counts directly as one of your challenges required for your King’s Scout Award.

To help you and your parents find out more about the itinerary, training, and finances, we are hosting two one-hour information sessions. Come along to meet the leadership team and get all your questions answered:

  • Forest of Dean Session: Wednesday 10th June at 7:00 PM – Aston Ingham Scout Hall (HR9 7LS)
  • Cheltenham Session: Sunday 14th June at 7:00 PM – Charlton Kings Scout Hall (GL53 8QR)

Key Details at a Glance:

  • Who: Explorer Scouts & Scout Network members (aged 16–24 by Summer 2027).
  • The Commitment: 23 nights away total, including 3 UK training weekends, the main expedition (31st July – 15th August 2027), and a presentation weekend.
  • Cost: £2,000 all-inclusive (flights, food, accommodation, and training). An initial £200 deposit is due by 31st August 2026.
