Cheltenham Beavers is a thriving character building community for young people across the district. Our fantastic leaders in our groups do the best that they can to encourage and nurture the development of our Beavers to learn the best Skills for Life possible.
ADC Beavers acts as a link between the Beaver sections ensuring the young people across the district are having an enjoyable time and utilising their skills to deliver exciting events focusing on further developing our Beavers.
What is Beavers?
The Beaver Colony is the first and youngest section of the Scout Group. Beaver Scouts are young people aged between 6 and 8 years old. There is core flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 5¾, and can move to Cubs between age 7½ and 8½. It may sometimes be appropriate to extend this flexibility for young people with additional needs. For further information, see our guidance on age range flexibility.
